Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • 3 tbsp chickpea flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 large carrot grated
  • 6 pieces dried tomatoes in oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 green onion chopped

For frying or baking:

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil

Instructions

Step 1: Blend the Mixture

  • In a food processor, combine chickpeas, carrot, dried tomatoes, garlic, spices, and flour. Blend until you reach a dough-like texture.

Step 2: Shape the Patties

  • Form the mixture into 6 large patties. Coat each one lightly in breadcrumbs for a golden crust.

Step 3: Cook the Burgers

    You can either:

    • Fry them in a pan with oil over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side
    • Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes for a healthier version

    Step 4: Assemble & Serve

    • Serve your patties in burger buns with your favorite toppings—lettuce, tomato, onion, sauces, and pickles!
