Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 3 tbsp sugar (or any other sweetener of choice)

  • 1 dash of salt

  • 1 1/2 cups soy-milk (or any other plant milk)

  • 1/3 cups vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil)

  • 1 dash of almond essence (optional)

  • zest of an orange

  • 1/2 -1 tsp spirulina powder or food coloring (or substitute 1/4 of cup milk with spinach juice) (optional)



Method:

Step 1: Preheat your pan on medium heat.

Step 2: In a bowl stir flour and baking powder.

Step 3: Add in sugar, and salt, mix until well combined.

Step 4: Place milk, oil, essence and zest and mix it into the dry ingredients until well combined.

Step 5: Add the spirulina powder or food coloring. (optional)

Step 6: Start cooking your pancakes - by adjusting different sizes of a tablespoon to create little trees afterward. Cook on medium heat for around 1-2 minutes on each side.

Step 7: Serve with some powdered sugar on top.
